Ok, for some unexplained reason my DVD/CD Drive has just crapped out on me. It still opens/closes, but cannot read anything. I put in a DVD, nada. I put in a CD, nada?
Any suggestions before I go shopping? -_-
And, yes, I have tried all of the following: Removing/Reinstalling Drivers, Restarting Computer, ect...
DVD Drive

Are you using any drive emulating devices for running ISOs on your system without burning the disc for it? I've had issues with my system recognizing my DVD drive after i did that on multiple occasions.

I went and stole/replaced the DVD drive from my computer and the family computer (very discreetly). Mine works fine now, but the downstairs can't play DVD's and my dad is pissed. ^_^
So i'm assumed the problem was the DVD drive itself.
/fixed (and saved myself some cash)
