Yuu Yuu Hakusho is an awesome anime series with not a lot of love these day. This MEP is here to change that and bring back some love for an anime classic. This YYH MEP is a character MEP so characters will have one track for themselves. For everyone to know, there will be one track be dedicated to the entire group.

**Let me know if you want to be a Coordinator. To qualify as a coordinator you must be in the MEP**

.:lTechnical Stuffl:.

+It's a YYH MEP so only YYH footage with the exception if you use original footage. But most should be YYH footage.
+Do your best to use DVD footage. RAW will be accepted, but it better be close to DVD footage.
+No Subs. Only subs excepted are the ones you insert yourself. I've watched YYH enough times to tell whether it's from the series or not.
+No logos. Logos such as DivX, animax, cartoon network, Kids WB, etc.
+Aspect ratio must be in 640x480 (4:3 preferred). Letterbox footage, if need be, to keep best quality.
+29.97 fps
+File types can be in avi, mepg(1 or 2) and mov
+A person's track can be as short as 30 seconds and up to a minute and 30 seconds. If it's under or over by a few seconds, it's not a big deal.
+2 second black space before and after video
+PG-13 rated. No bad songs. Do your best to keep it PG though.

Yes, there are auditions. I'm a pretty lenient person so you don't have to worry too much about getting in. But be aware that MAJOR characters will be harder to get than minor character. Feel free to use more than one AMV for your audition.

Let me explain. It is correct as either Yu Yu Hakusho or Yuu Yuu Hakusho. If you were to fully roomajize YYH it would come out to Yuu Yuu Hakusho. YYH is simplified to Yu Yu Hakusho since there makes no difference in pronunciation in English, but it could hold a difference in Japanese so I like to spell it out as Yuu Yuu Hakusho. It's all a matter of preference and I like to spell things as close to the Japanese pronunciation as possible.

And as for the other YYH MEP, yes, there WAS another. But now that MEP is officially dead.

Just cuz you're in AFMS, this doesn't mean you'll get Yuu-chan. I must review and think and see if anyone else wants Yuu-chan for a little while ^_~

If you want some more audition vids, check my profile. Anything I've made in the last 2yrs I'd recommend. The other stuff, well, check the warnings before you download. Most of my 2003 YYH vids sucked pretty bad. ^_^

On that note, I don't see you getting a lot of takers for this MEP. The auditioning method is awkward. You should require *only* dvd footage - the entire YYH series has been available on dvd for rent at Netflix for over a year now. You might allow some 'iffy' sources for the movies and the ovas, but not for the series itself. You shouldn't mention wmv at all. The line "we'll be too busy to convert everyone's video" is painful. It makes it sound like the final project will be a mix of doubly-compressed amvs. Usually you ask for high quality copies - huffyuv, lagarith, uncompressed - and then as the coordinator you put them together and compress it to the format you want the final video distributed in. The betas could be compressed, but not the final video. Are you really planning to put wmv, xvid, huffyuv, etc mini-vids into one timeline and save them as your final distro copy? That's going to have a wide range of quality from horrible to bad. The really good editors here won't want their name attached to something like that.
