That's what I told her to do but she said she doesn't have enough space. I told her to do what mirkosp said (except the ffmpegsource thing) but she said vfapi didn't work...

.. and she'd be correct:
the H264 encoded on that MKv I got is QT encoded, varable sync'd and variable Video which is going to cause problems for FFD*() interfaces.
on the WS sub MKv I also found that they had printed the songs transliteration directly onto the Video making it impossible to correct w/o damaging many-many scenes. That is a common practice, subbing the Songs/words directly to the video in an OGM/MKv, from the Rice-Bisket day's of "Witch Hunter Robin & Stellvia" days of four years ago.

Vfapi not working? What do you mean? I had a problem with vfapi in the beginning, it didn't accept any file extension, but I solved it installing a dll and adding a registry key.
Also, the avs+vfapi thing for mkvs works fine for me. Clannad WS is softsubbed, so episodes are ok. For the opening... yes, it's hardsubbed. But for that, you can always get a RAW from somewhere. Sometimes you can find RAWs of just openings/endings, that might be dvd rips without any credit on it. So yeah, where's the problem of editing with the mkvs?

I'd advise against using bait and switch for anything other than vobs, I made MJPEGs/fake avis of my ef episodes then switched to the mkvs after and everything went out of time, frame and synch and I had to redo the entire thing ;_;

That's not bait and switch. The avs+vfapi lets you edit with maximum quality. However, it is very fast. Premiere and After Effects never crashed. No problems of frame order cause, as Qyot always says, ffmpegsource is frame accurate.

If VFAPI doesn't work, than most probably you need the readavs.dll. There's also a little thing to do on the registry, but easy stuff. PM me and I'll give you links and instructions... hoping that it will work...

Just having my daily check up on the best thread at the org.

Has anyone else read the Clannad Tribute comics? I saw (i think it was) x_rex30 post a few up, but I found the actual download for the first 3 chapters. It's funny stuff.

Example of funny stuff.

Lol @ the funny stuff.
Also, can't wait for episode 11 WS: Kotomi arc seems interesting.

Oh, Pas, another thing: those images you have in your siggy are cool, but wouldn't it be better if you edited amvs instead? :roll: I'm curios to see something from you, and you promised to edit something this year... :P

Seriously though, I came so close to finishing one, but then I found out it sucked, so I scrapped it and started a new project... which may just be done by december... >.>
