If you know anything about modern internetting, you'd know that immature/simple humor is coming heavily back into style. Nowadays, something doesn't have to be polished/shiny/refined to be considered riotously funny, at least to people with that sort of taste.
These will be voted on, so if folks agree with you that they're not funny, they don't have to vote on them. But us folks who sometimes can enjoy childish humor/poor effects done poorly on purpose, are allowed to represent our opinions, and cater to others who share our same opinions in the audience.
You can see from the credits and such that the creator of that video actually IS capable of well done/subtle/smooth effects. So they obviously did silly/blatant/pixelly ones on purpose, because as I said some people just find that sort of thing funny. Everyone has a different idea of humor. So just let the voters decide if it's to their taste or not.
