Your favorite lyrics doesn't always mean favorite song.. so I'm not asking what your favorite song is. If you can, say what it is about these lyrics you really like and if you find the vocalist supports the feeling of the vocals because some vocalists have great lyrics but shitty vocals that it's hard to care what is said in the song.

The vocals are so strong in this song and the lyrics that go along with it are so strong as well. It's saying enough is enough.. and you're not going to play these heart twisting games anymore.

Three Days Grace - Pain

Reason I like these lyrics is because I have in my life avoided pain by numbing myself to the feelings thoughts and emotions and it just in the end turned into the worse kind of pain imaginable.

I'd say it's pretty self explanatory and I don't want to really go into details on this one.

The whole song is great, and Eliot manages to make it come across as heartfelt and honest, but laid back enough that it doesn't go into cheesy levels of emotion. Like me, I'm sure everyone has someone in their life that they wish would hear this song and realize what it's about...

Slow, deliberate, not much instrumentation behind it, but something about it keeps it stuck in my head. Aside from being proof that Dero can sing well on his own, it makes me think of one of my closest friends. I've been there for all of the ups and downs she's dealt with the past several years, and I wonder when she'll finally catch a break and be able to actually be happy. I know she'll get there eventually, since she's much stronger than I am in several ways, but it still tears at me to see her get hurt time and time again.

Local band from Louisville, Kentucky, MSD has come a long way from being just a halloween-rock type oddity. They've matured a great deal musically and lyrically, and this is a prime example of that. This is one of my favorites for several reasons. The lyrics are all about staying strong against any adversity and not letting anything stand in the way of your goals. The song itself is rather heavy and really, nobody other than John could do this track and have it sound right.



And to round things out, something from my favorite band of all time.

Without going into too much detail, thinking of this kept me from most likely landing myself in prison due to how I wanted to react to a former friend. However, I finally realized that doing so would only turn me into something as bad (if not worse) than them...

There's so much favourite lyrics out there but the most "personal" it has ever gotten for me would be Hurt, I think. A lot of those lyrics are so intimate, meaningful and introspected in a non-selfish way, he actually cares about other people (something not every rock artist does >_>)
