I can't see what did he do to be wrong. Ok, he might be clueless (ignorant) about the fact that other girls love him (and maybe about his own feelings too), but that's quite a common thing in anime. Plus, he only acted as his heart told him to.

yeah, tomoya gets a bit territorial, but had it not for the forcefulness it would've seem very normal. after all, it's a given that a guy who knows the girl is not going to let some other guy, a stranger, take the girl to the infirmary

I honestly have to say that after watching the episode, Kotomi acts much more like a close friend to Tomoya, rather than a love rival.

That being said, the entire scene was pretty awesome for me, but the appearance of Fuko didn't seem so random this time, which is a good thing.
