Pixelly Rip... from a R2?

This is what I get after ripping one of my Nana R2s with DVD Decrypter. I've done two discs so far that worked fine, but this one is all pixelly. Any advice?

that just looks like a bad resizing to me.

Is nana normally widescreen?
if it's not then it's probably a bad job by the company that made the encode for the disk.

deinterlacing might help it (provided that it is interlaced,) but I'd still try using TIsophote()

Yeah, it's supposed to be widescreen. I'll try out that script you listed. What are it's parameters, or are they unnecessary?

Damn lack of an edit button...

Also, when I open the VOBs in DGIndex, I get this message:

"WARNING! Opening GOP is not closed. The first few frames may not be decoded correctly."

No, others look okay, a little blurry. It seems to be certain VOBs on the disc.

That filter kinda worked. I think the pixellation is too heavy for it to be effective though. :?

have you tried using the following settings for tisophote?

Code: Select all

TIsophote(iterations=8,tstep=.15,type=1,chroma=true)
your clip will probably take more iterations, try going to tstep=.2 if those settings don't work.
and chroma=true...not quite sure what it would help, might want to try with it set to true and then to false to see which one works better for you

have you tried exporting raw m2v's without the audio?
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson
