Ok guys this has been bothering me all day but in this video iv'e been wanting to know how to do a certain effect....We'll i know it's not a effect but I don't what else to call it could someone tell me what it is or tell me how to do it please> the effect starts at 00:36 and it makes a certain cool shape on the screen.

2) It's just a mask. You build the image in something like photoshop and apply it as a mask. How to do this will vary slightly from NLE to NLE.
