Best Place To Rent Source?

Post by Kero777 » Sat Mar 08, 2008 2:24 pm

At the moment I currently have some slight money issues, so buying DVDs for my source footage isn't an option right now. However, I have some ideas in my mind that I am dying to do... I need some new footage. It never really occurred to me that I can actually rent DVDs instead of buying, until I saw someone say that they rented their source on the forums. Can anyone recommend a good site or place to rent anime DVDs? (I doubt it's an option, but what about renting anime that isn't licensed in America yet? I bet I'll just have to scrimp and save and buy those.) Thank you. :D

Besides the main places like Blockbuster etc... I do have one suggestion that you may have over looked:
The Public Library.
They usually have the 'classic' anime's like Studio Ghibli titles, GITS... and the occasional 'popular' anime like FMA.

This does solve the issue of quality, but ethically I'm not really sure it's any different than downloading footage. You decide.

Thanks for the replies. :D I thought of Netflix and two people suggested it, so I might try it. I never would have thought of the library; you were right! That's a very good idea. :)

Honestly, netflix is amazing... you can get 2 DVDs goin' at a time.. you'll get one, rip, burn onto blank for later use and then send it back and get another while not having to wait because, hey.. you've got another one comin the NEXT DAY :O

Netflix for Americans, Zip.ca for Canadians.

I have experience with Zip. Damn fine massive collection.

If you want cheaper, yer just going to have to resort to unsavoury choices :)
Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.
