And with the shorting of the number of episodes, SECOND TO LAST EPISODE!!!

There must be plans for a second season in the making so we can see Tomoya's and Nagisa's relationship in full bloom. Nonetheless, did anyone get that warm, fuzzy feeling whenever you like work on a big project with your friends. That's the type of feeling I got when I watched this episode when Tomoya and the gang were working so hard on the prep work. It what makes these slice-of-life moments so rewarding!

Speculation has been rife due to this piece of news, and while the worst case scenario is that KyoAni washes its hands off the series after this, I personally think that’s unlikely. KyoAni has a reputation for striving their darndest to do a complete job after all, and I hardly think they’ll just leave things unfinished here. Which leaves us with a speculation by velocity7 from TWH-Sprocket; although he says it is a hard call, he mentions that the OP has referred too much to After Story for KyoAni not to animate it eventually. Therefore, chances are high that KyoAni is intending to do a Code Geass with CLANNAD (TV), and release a Season 2 sometime in the near future, probably after the Suzumiya Haruhi sequel.

Personally, that is what I hope for too. It has been said that After Story is the heart of CLANNAD, and I surely would want KyoAni to give it the high-quality faithful treatment they’ve been known for where Key works are concerned, even if they are constrained to deliver it in a second season. Until then though, we have the rest of Nagisa’s story to go through, so until details are confirmed, let’s just enjoy what we have for the remainder of this season."

A second season would boost my faith in kyoani.

Though, on the downside, it would mean my Fuko vid wouldnt be done for another year >:\

Um....I'm almost afraid to say this but...(I know someone will kill me for this) I just want Clannad to end. I don't really want to watch it (not yet anyways) I only want The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2 to be released. It's not supposed to start until CLannad is over so....END ALREADY! *Hides*

Episode 23 omake and 24 DVD only are easily believable. However, a 2nd season is just too good to be true. And, if it's true, I see it as a 12/13 episodes series at most. After all, there's not that much to still talk about, I think.

Also, Chii, if by any chance you have to drop your Fuuko vid for lack of material, which would mean that every member of KyoAni will die a painful death, I'd gladly see it even if it has half video blank.
