OCR & VG Remix Recommendation Thread...?

I know it's a totally n00b thing to do...making my first post asking for a recommendation...but thems the breaks...*shrugs*

I've always been astonished by the talent that goes into fan creations, be it fanfics, music remixes, or AMVs...Are there very many AMVs that use OCR or VGRemix music? I kind of have a hard time sifting through things...the only one I found that was kind of ok used the bitchin Megaman X3 OCR by Beatdrop & mp called House Hornet...but the AMV used sorta campy in-game scenes of MMX mixed in w/some other anime of which I wasn't really familiar...

Well, if there isn't enough to warrant it's own thread...anyone wanna just recommend me some here or via PM?

My favs are pretty much any of the OCR big guns: Children of the Monkey Machine (whose Magus remixes definitely helped inspire my own Magus fanfic), Beatdrop, djpretzel, McVaffe, Mazedude, Injury, Ailsean, mp, AmIEviL, Steve Pordon, etc.

Search for the VG Projects. All hour+ long multi-editor efforts that use nothing but OCR tracks.

But I read that in the Rules for the Recommendation forum...So...? Whuh? Also...Hour+?? You mean the AMVs are over an hour in length? I think I didn't mention, but the reason I have trouble sifting is because I'm running a 56k outfit here.

It took me 12 nail-biting hours to DL the high quality version of Decoy's "Naruto's Technique Beat"...

Yes. this is known as an AMV MEP [multi editor project].

-The large NTB file could have been much smaller... and personally I think is a waste... but at least he gives the option...

-If you had the patience to dl that, a MEP is about the same size, but compressed more efficiently to be longer.

-Recently, there was an OC Remix contest. The winners are on their site. I won runner-up

A lot of the editors of the VG projects also released their tracks separately, so you track those down and grab 'em faster that way.

Ah, ok, I've seen a couple of those VG Project vids (not the complete hour+ ones, but separate people's segments, I guess?)...I'm not a big fan of AMVs that use gameplay footage at all...takes away from the immersion factor of the piece...but w/e...still very cool, just not my cup o' tea.
