mp4 help

Hey guys, I recently downloaded some amv's here are a lot of them ROCKED! Those were the .avi files... I now have like 4 other videos that are .mp4, and I cant play them. I have quicktime, WMP, DivX, and Itunes. DivX says it should be able to play them (I use DivX for everything else), but it just encounters an error and closes. I can open the files in Quicktime, but whenever I try to play it, the AMV seems to constantly freeze the audio and video (not necessarily together) at random intervals, sort of like trying to play an unbuffered streaming video online. I've tried "letting it load" for 4 hours... I have the latest DivX and Quicktime. Any ideas???

delete all the other players and get VLC Player. It will play just about anything.
