hmm how do I get another video playing ontop of another?its like your watching one video and slightly faded into the background is another video playing

I've tried having the video clip on a different layer and changing the opacity of the first video to 50% but all it showed was the 2nd video playing and the first one disappeared!

Ive been having issues with lag in vegas lately... do anyone know hot to "cure" this

is that timeline darker in color than the others?

create a loop region then press Shift B

I think I've got it

First vid in layer 1 is at 24% opacity and 2nd vid is at 74%.its not terribly brilliant but thats the kind of thing I was looking for.Except it seemed to have alot of flashes at the start...

and I highlighted it because it wont play smoothly but I pressed Shift + B and it works now.

what does the opacity do?coz usually it would be the visibility of something.like the lower the opacity,the more transparent the picture is.but when I just lowered 1 video's opacity to 50% it make the video darker instead of brighter which I thought it was supposed to be...

opacity controls how much of the video you see

ah ok thanks!tried it out and it seems to be pretty good.

As for WAX plugins I had a look at them but are they vista compatiable?cause it said for windows 2000/XP :S
