ok I've masked out the first part of the clip.but see with the second clip?I've been using the Event Pan/Crop window to get the part I want. But it only does it in rectangles and the image looks a bit pixelated as if it's been zoomed too much in.The edges are sharp too,any way I could trim and feather them? And for moving it to the masked out part,do I use the track motion tool?

you can feather the edges of a mask by changing the feather options in the mask menu

as for the image looking blurry or pixelated, that sounds like you don't have a good source for your footage... I'd just use pan/crop to slide it over Track Motion is more for moving everything on the track.

pretty much you set anchors outlining the entire character (which will take a while), and for the length of the video you would have to change the anchors on each frame

Are you using downloaded source? It's sounds like it to me, as this is a typical result of that. Vegas doesn't like XviD. Buy some DVDs or go learn to use VirtualDubMod and the like to transcode the video.
... yea ...

u fail roy. >:[ shoo!

you should be using lossless sources to make your videos from, if a file doesn't show up it means its a codec that vegas doesn't accept... do the vdub mod thing and recompress it with a lossless codec, that will work
