Ishbalan, it sounds like you are describing "insecure" manly anime.

Real men watch anything they friggin well feel like watching.

Real men can watch Sailormoon live action and get teary eyed and not need to worry about being made fun of, because the last guy to do it was hospitalized

Too many mistake "manly" with "macho" and frankly macho is for twerps that need to be convinced of their manliness on a constant basis.

Anyway, other manly anime, IMO, include Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, Tengen Toppa Gurrent Lagann, GaoGaiGar, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and Baccano!
