Question about the Ah! My Goddess movie...

I realize this should be asked in the Anime Series Discussion section, but the Ah! My Goddess thread is kinda dead...and locked -_-

Ah, well, I hope I'm not posting in the wrong spot...>_>

I just finished watching the movie of Ah! My Goddess, and I must say, it was really good. But I have several questions that've been bothering me....



First off, did Belldandy ever get her memories back? I find it hard to believe that she was able to 're-love' Keiichi in a day, not to mention that they walked through the Gate of Judgment when she only got to know him again.

Something tells me she did retrieve her memories somewhere in the movie; I'm just not sure where...

Secondly (but definitely not as important), whatever happened to the race? o.O

well belldandy is.. well belldandy. So it stands to reason that she would never forget someone she cares for no matter what. Almighty then? (in-joke youd get if you read the manga)

You have to realize that the movie is from the continuity of the OVA, I think. They took a manga arc, fscked with it some, and turned it into the movie. The later TV shows aren't connected to it.

this is belldandy, her emotions are as strong, if not stronger than her reason when it comes to love, trust, and bonds. even if she couldn't remember, she'll still be confronted with the current of emotions that go along with seeing and being with someone she loved, no matter how long ago it was or how thorough the attempt at blocking her memories.

furthermore, keiichi might be an average boy, but he's not a jerk and his actions toward Belldandy are always those constructed out of love. belldandy is attuned to displays of affection and love and given how strong Keiichi's love and devotion towards Belldandy is, she'll naturally perceive and build new bonds quickly
