How do we attract feelings in AMV:s?
1.What do you feel when you see those spoilers?
2.Does the music help to bring out the expressions and feelings in the video?
a) Why?/
b) Why not? Can you come up with another song you should be more suitable for the amv!
-Laputa – Castle in The Sky
-Memories
-Neon Genesis Evangelion
-Utena – The Movie
-Grave of The Fireflies
-Elfen Lied
-RahXephon
/This is an investigation for a big essay! Hope you find heroeness and help us out with this ;P ARIGATOU GOZAIMASHITA MINNA SAN!!

1. Spoilers don't bother me, in fact spoilers tend to attract me to an anime if the spoilers are interesting enough.
2. That depends on if the music compliments the video and vice versa. I tend to attempt to sync the video to the music, rather than trying to bend the music to fit the video.
a. just because someone slapped some music to some clips that doesn't mean that it's going to effect me emotionally. Unless there is a connection between the two mediums.
b. I don't really like the idea of trading out songs, for videos. A person should have a solid concept that ties both sources together or the concept is going to "fail" (at least it will for me)
as for your list of anime I'm not sure what it's there for.

Ok...well this list of anime HAS a function in this!
It's examples of different amv:s, all with different amv:s.
But if you want to do an amv of, for example, bleach, you have to find a song that fits the anime, right??!!

Pantyshots enhance the special feelings in my pants...
In my opinion if you create a feeling you have to build first of all an atmosphere. I consider it as base for such things. How do you create atomsphere? Well with usefull effects (colours are powerful), the right scenes at the right places... Everything that´s not plain/blind beatsync (doesn´t include emotions like rage).
Spoilers... If I want to watch the anime one day or when I watch the series right now, I tend to avoid spoilers.

Amvs are art, the second you forget this all you've shown us is you like anime X and song Y and wanted to end up with amv Z.
Big deal. Any dolt can cram a great song onto some great anime footage and think they've made a neat amv.
I've seen amvs that had a great song and I ended up downloading the song because I liked it, and I turfed the amv because it wasn't really any good.
The song has to GO with the anime. They need to seem like they were made at the same time. This applies for sentimental as well as just plain goofy.
I've ended up watching anime I've seen first in amvs. I don't mind seeing sequences for the first time in an amv. It doesn't spoil the anime. I mean what am I going to do, stop watching amvs for fear I might see something from an anime and ruin a surprise?
Again, amvs are a form of artistic expression. Create good art, and you'll have a great amv. Create lousy art, and you can assume no one will remember it.

Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.
