Hello everyone on the org. its good to finally release my first AMV. ive put about 60 or more hours into it so please give constructive crits. this is my first time ever even using an editing program. With my video i decided to focus on Renji and Chihiro because thier story was very touching to me. i feel this song has the underlying emotion that i was looking for as well as some very fitting lyrics for literal and figurative syncs. Being my first foray into amv's i didn't have alot of tools at my disposal and the effects and masks i did use may have been unnecessary. thanks and please enjoy.

I'll try to get an op out later but after a quick play-through I can say this:

The editing and music seemed to fit well together. I didn't notice any obnoxious effects. The scene selections looked interesting.

However, I also noticed interlacing, changing ARs (not the edited ones either), and breaks in the timeline (~3:44 is the most noticable).

You have the sync, but I missed a storyline or anything that could connect the scenes together. Focusing on Renji and Chihiro doesn't mean only cutting clips with Renji and Chihiro. That's not enough.

Generally, it was alright for a first try. Fix the technical issues noticed by surfsama, be more accurate (what's with the mask on 2:35?), try to think of a more complex concept, and next time it must be much better.

@surfsama those artifacts happened during the conversion. i will fix it and remove undesireables and make a directors cut if allowed to see if i can improve enough to be worthy.

@Lirinis You didnt see the story? have you seen EF? i dint blatently tell the story of the anime i just chose the most moving parts. well heres the story

0.00 0.50 on renjis way home he sees an angel she has a secret condition and hides it from him and feels guilty about it. look for subtle lyric sync its there

1.11 1.40 if this doesnt strike you as pretty good then im sorry for you. again more lyric sync ( waves, held us)

2.50 to end they are on the roof she says good bye. renji then gets sad then he gos off to find the bits of diary then gives them to her bang love done.

i do admit sorrowfully that alot of it was filler but are there not some parts that stand out?

im sorry you dint like it its not a casual AMV try and look for more subtle lyric syncs
the main idea is that renji could choose safer waters (not dealing with chihiro) but he doesnt. i hope to fill up your satisfaction container.
