Final Cut Pro Editing Tips needed...

You could always use Motion's masking tools. That's what I do, they are quick and easy to use. You can do your roto, save the file and import the motion file into FCP. Otherwise you can export it as a lossless movie (Apple Animation), this will keep the alpha channel intact. Or you could do the entire composite in Motion, then just import the final movie into FCP.

Not saying he can't, I just think using motion for the rotoing is easier for me. I just couldn't imaging pasting together 500 frames in my FCP timeline. maybe AMV is just not my thing haha. *sigh* well its fun so... haha I'll try Motion sounds easier, since I already have it. But, I'm about to go on a trip sometime soon and graduating. Hopefully I'll finish by then... but I don't really see myself finishing before then, because my iBook G4 is really slow and crappy, getting a MacBook Pro though, pretty soon...
