Actually that is part of the source, and just about anytime somebody releases a Kino's Journey vid, somebody complains about all the damn lines and a long discussion breaks out. But, yes, the scanlines are on every single frame of that series and there's not a damn thing that can be done about that.
Great series though.

Scan lines are normal, what I'm looking at are the jagged animation lines. I can't figure it out!

Windows Media Player has a built in de-interlace’r, MPC does not. So, I'm thinking it is a de-interlacing concern but I've tried all these one by one without luck:

MPEG2Source("F:\AMV\d2v\INTRO2.d2v", cpu=4)
TDeint(mode=2, mtnmode=3, blim=100)
#TomsMoComp(1,5,1)
#SangNom(order=1,aa=32)

#deint = TDeint(mode=2, mtnmode=3, blim=100)
#TFM(cthresh=4, slow=2, clip2=deint)
#TDecimate(mode=1)

LanczosResize(720,360)
AddBorders(0,60,0,60)
DeRainbow(10)

But wait, why does the video look good when set to 100% or 200% (as opposed to 'fit to inside/outside' or 'stretch..."? That's does'nt have anything to do with the de-interlacing, right?

I'm lost.

That always bothered me, if only because I've never seen interlacing work like that.
Neither, everyone knows the moon is square.

its not interlacing, it was the artistic vision of the people who make kino's journey O.o (or so is my excuse for the tv scan lines effect through the whole show)

I prefer how Godix said it "Cum-guzzling blah blah" much more effective at getting the "moons are round" point across to idiots, maybe we should amend the guide with his quote?

Right, but is there actually an example of interlacing that looks like the lines in Kino? I don't know how people think the lines in kino are interlacing.

Who thought they were interlacing lines? I thought they were the result of using a bad script to remove interlacing - which is why I chose my words carefully to express that thought.

Bashar, you wouldn't be the first to mention the word "interlacing" when it comes to Kino
