Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Actually, you more or less said it perfectly.Greggus1 wrote:I think enjoyment of the project depends very much on your knowledge of the editors in the project. This was an experiment more than anything else, and for people interested in seeing the results, it's uploaded to the org. In that sense, from the very beginning of the project, the point was never quality, but experimenting-which can go good or bad.
Ben, feel free to expand on that.
This was never intended to be MEP of Year, or something. The purpose of this project, as I said many times in the thread, is to force the editors involved to do something different, something they very well may have never tried before.
This isn't meant to get the people who don't like the project to all of a sudden like it. But you have to understand what kind of project this was meant to be. Which is why when the project receives an op that says, "I think the standards on a-m-v.org have really dropped recently and this doesn't help it", I get a little irked because that just shows that some people don't really get the goal of this project. If you watch this MEP the way you watch pretty much every other MEP on the .org, you're missing something.

IIRC, we didn't have a choice and had to use the audio exactly as it was given to us.-Reda- wrote:I also don't understand why the editors didn't cut their songs better. A lot of them just came to a stop suddenly. Its not TOO difficult to edit audio and I think it would have been nice if more editors took the time to do this well.
As for the project, I can't say I was expecting much, it was definitely an interesting concept, but not one that lends to 'omgawsm' tracks. As it's been said, there was good among the bad, and I'd like to point out that I absolutely hated my track and the song I got.
