Convertin'

Post by M1r » Sat May 10, 2008 6:41 pm

Yu know, I can't trust my ears so I gotta ask this. When you convert a song from 192 to 320, does the quality rise or stays the same. Cuz' I don't really feel the difference until it gets under 100 lol.

once you go down to 192kbps, raising it back up to 320 won't make it any better because you can't recover the data that wasn't captured with 192kbps.

So the quality should stay the same, though the filesize will rise.

Going up from one level to another dose nothing for sound quality

bast way to get music is to have the audio cd and rip it at the best quality you can. I recommed a high quality WAV file file ends up at 40mb but the sound is excilent.

no thats just for working with the best sound you can change it to a different quality and type when you render the video.

I work with High quality audio while making but when i render i change the audio to High qualty MP3. and becuse the WAV is a raw file there is vutualy no data loss when converting to 320 MP3 or PCM

actually, when coverting a low bitrate file to a higher, the audio quality usually gets worse.
