I love it, because I likely buggered a post to hell and back, I get several people intent on outdoing me.

1. I don't know you, and your nickname/avatar is of no help in knowing you better.

2. I have nearly nothing in common with my nickname apart from it is a non Japanese speaking person's creative translation of their actual name. And the avatar is just me laughing at my own personal obsession with a series.

So why don't we all just agree, none of us has a clue who we are talking to.

The only thing worth shit about my posts, is I backed them up with my wallet.
Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

That about sums it all up for me.

I am getting really annoyed with the fact that I keep agreeing with you.

Thank you for your answers, because of you guys I was able to finish my sociology project.

I was able to type 8 pages on how anime effects our views, gender roles, etc. I also did some background research. But one thing about sociology teachers is that they want people with experience to tell. Because they want to know the "primary" sources. Meaning that I am able to back-up my information with quotations.

I must say it wasn't that easy, nor was it that hard. But I had a lot of feedback, which was what I wanted/needed. Thanks again.

now I'll tell you my answer to my question on "Why do you watch anime?"

Q: Why do you watch anime?"

A: The reason why i watch anime is because its different. Its different from korean drama, its different from american cartoons. I like Disney cartoon movies, like Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, etc. Because they all hold some type of memories for me. But anime is different, it holds a slice of life, plus the ecchi parts in anime's are hilarious. Even though its a illusion of a fantasy of life. Instead of watching korean drama, which always turns out the same in the end, I rather watch 20 different series and pick the top 5 to watch for the season. Another great thing about anime is that there is such a big variety of them, action, serious, drama, comedy, slice of life, supernatural, mystery, fantasy, etc. Where there is a wide field, there is a wide view on life.. is what i think. Many people may call me Otaku, but i rather watch anime than, spend 8 hours watching home made youtube videos, not saying that i have anything against it. Its just more entertaining for me to watch anime.

Its different, and a difference is always needed in someone's life once in a while.

Anime is its own story, so is every other entertainment out there.

Its just that I favor anime over other things. ^^

Thanks again for the replies. Not much i can do to return the favor ^^ :D, sorry. I hope you guys are doing great in life though.

Wait.. How did I miss this thread for so long?

Anyway, I watch anime for this simple reason: I like it.

Then again, I'm sure you'd like to know why I like watching anime.

I have a obsession with stories. 9/10, I prefer plot/story over anything else. I've read countless amounts of books over the years, and sooner or later the stories seem to be very similar. I like anime because the stories are "usually" interesting and have different tastes than American authors/writers. For example, I was obsessed over the Author Dean Koontz my freshman year. Then, I got into Neon Genesis Evangelion because Dean Koontz is actually a really lazy writer and has every book the exact same junk. I was entralled by the interesting plot/storyline, and found that "le gasp! There are other anime outside of adult swim!'. So, there came my love of anime, the eventual discovery of this site and the discovery of other great anime.

In short, I love the plots/characters in anime.

But...

Books>Manga>Anime>Modern Movies>Pictionary

Oh, and because it royally pisses my mother off. :O
