ProjeKct Six - East Coast Live
(experimental improv music)

This is basically Adrian Belew and Robert Fripp of King Crimson (where they are normally the two guitarists) going on the road with Adrian's V-drums and Robert's heavy-handed use of guitar synth to support Porcupine Tree's tour of the US East Coast in fall 2006.

Really cool stuff. Some of the distortion added onto the V-drum sounds makes it slightly jarring and not-easy on the ear sometimes, but the rest is pure ProjeKct goodness. This doesn't sound like two guys, this sounds like a wall of pure experimentation.

I don't buy albums anymore, I buy mp3s.

The last mp3 was K's Choice - Not an Addict

Well I should clarify that I bought that album in MP3s as well, as I do a lot of things.

However I am ideologically opposed to the idea of music being primarily distributed in one-offs and separate songs. The album may be an aging format, but it better not be dead anytime soon. I can barely listen to music in any other "servings" besides albums to be honest.

Oddly enough green day's Dookie. It had been a long time coming, I had just always been to lazy to pick it up and finally did recently. I also bought Against me!'s Reinventing Axl Rose at the same time. Another album I just finally got around to actually owning.

Just yesterday I picked up Blue Öyster Cult - Are You Ready To Rock? and Live - Throwing Copper. Two albums I'd been wanting for a while.
Life's short.
