I saw it recently. Ok, it wasn't my first anime but it led me to the otaku side. Yes, for me is special and the story...I must admit it, it wasn't so interesting but it's not far from several new shonen that I love also like YuYuHakusho, Dragon Quest, Bleach and YuGiOh! that have the same plot: Good guy, mysterious powers, something changes his live in one second....battles, battles, victory, new villain appears (more powerful, don't forget that), battles, battles, add here a new love or a new rival, battles, battles, rival joins team, battles, battles, good guy saves the world.
See, the same formula it's still interesting. ^_^

I will always be a fan of DBZ. It holds a place in my being as my first anime.
Yes, I did see it on cunt-too--I mean cartoon network, but it was still great.
I watch it now and again, syphoning through the shit to the good parts, but still, I love DBZ.
I also watch rounin warriors and sailor moon. Reboot, and some other fourth show that escapes me. But for truth, I have to quote this.
Christianity. Cuz all those other religions suck (and send you to hell....)The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things." 1 Corinthians 13:11

Win.
I liked the character designs for Dragonball. I think they were refreshing as oppose to other things I had seen.
The short, fat little bodies gave the comedy a since of....comedy. The action was toned down for the most part and the show was extremely easy to get into. Bulma was always my favorite character, no matter how many times I got into those Goku >< Gohan arguemnts.
And though I sincerely hate GT, I really did like a few episodes in the bebe saga. It just seemed like less thought was put into Gt as far as I could tell. They wanted to animate a bunch of generic DBZ scenes toegether, add some action for spice, and some animation that looks worth a shit.

I actually liked and still like DBZ.
when I first saw DBZ on tv, I siad that was something i'd never get into.
I started to get interested in it the first time I saw the Freeza saga and some of the Trunks and Androids saga.
There is actually alot of interesting and useful stuff in the series.
It sucks that alot of people that make AMVs with it seems to only want to focus on the fight scenes from it.
It has been used ALOT of times but it still has some good potential.
Sometime I plan to buy the DBZ boxsets so i can see alot of the episodes I missed.
I never saw how the series first started.
A funny thing is when I first saw Sailor Moon advertised, I also said that is something
i'd never watch.
Funny how things turn out. ^_^
