AWA 14 AMV CONTESTS!
Yep, we're already that close to AWA that my notoriously late general announcement is going out to the masses! All the details are up on the website, linked to from our main page here:
http://www.awa-con.com/index.php?page=vat_amv_contests
Or you can just go to our front page at www.awa-con.com and click on "events" then "VAT/AMV Contests"
When I finish fighting with the formatting on that stupid web-authoring software, I'll post the complete rules here and on all the appropriate message boards, but in brief summary:
Deadlines
Pro Contest: Deadline July 18
Short Attention Span Theater: Deadline August 22
Expo Contest: Deadline August 15
Note that this year there will be NO MASTERS contest. That contest is now every other year, and this is an "off" year for it. Instead we are having the return of the celebrated "Short Attention Span Theater" contest, (30-second long videos) and yes, we do have another cool hourglass to give away.
THE SAST CONTEST has stricter tech requirements this time around. Problems with the disc compillation pointed out some headaches that we're gonna avoid this time around.
ALSO: after a year's worth of troubleshooting with test cases we should be able to make available an iso download of the Pro contest for competitors this year. (Barring unforseen disasters.) You know what that means! NO WAITING ON THE MAIL! NO F#$^%&&'D UP DISCS! We're still gonna need that signed waiver, but scans or pics should do. The DVD technique will still be available for you poor souls on dialup.
Questions? Tech stuff should go to Carl at vattechnical@gmail.com. Organizational stuff should go to me at drmcwagner@gmail.com.
OH YEAH! And Pro contest is back up to as many as two submissions per person again!

Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.

So I've got about two months to decide which of the videos I've made is for pro and which one is for expo.
Crud.
On a related note, I'm surprised SAST is back, thought you were going to do something different. Or did you decide on the alternating years of masters and SAST?
