Falsely comment that a person's AMV is good when it's just a mesh of overused effects to me. Does anybody ever do that because they don't want to hurt the editor's feelings?

I can't think of a time when i just siad a vid was good when I really didn't think so.
If there is something you think thats not right or can be improved in a video, you should tell them what that is.

Also, in most cases, you won't hurt an editors feelings telling them something you think isn't right in their video.
The only way that might happen if you are insulting them.
Most people won't take offense by suggesting they fix something.
Its recommended that you actually say what parts you think can be improved in the video instead of just saying stuff like "this video sucks" or "its crap".
That way is not very helpful since it doesn't tell them what can be improved in any way.

Occasionally, although not very often, I refrain from really letting loose with my true feelings about the video. That's not because I'm being nice to them though, it's just that I can only think of a handful of synonyms for 'nausea',
