Bands that aren't featured at all, enough, or only 1 or 2 so

There are alot of bands that don't get featured, don't get featured enough, or only get one or two of their songs used over and over in AMVs. To name a FEW examples:

Survivor (They had more hits besides "Eye Of The Tiger" and "Burning Heart"!, for example:"I Can't Hold Back", "The Search Is Over", "I See You In Everyone", etc.)

Twisted Sister (Do I even need a reason? You guys treat them like their a one hit wonder, and I KNOW they aren't a one hit wonder! They had other hits besides "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock". JUST to name a few:"The Price", "Leader Of The Pack", Be Chrool To Your Scuel", "You Can't Stop Rock N Roll", "I Am", "Hot Love", "Love Is For Suckers", etc.)

Night Ranger (Don't you even dare! They had other hits besides "Sister Christian", like say...:"Don't Tell Me You Love Me", "Sing Me Away", "Rock In America", "When You Close Your Eyes", "SENTIMENTAL STREET", "Four In The Morning", "Goodbye", and "The Secret Of My Success".)

Billy Idol (Nobody's used his songs but me and MaxSterling626 so far.)

Journey

Foreigner

Phil Collins

Cheap Trick

Quiet Riot (If you make a video with them, GOD HELP YOU if you use "Come On Feel The Noise"!)

Loverboy

Laura Branigan

and too many more I can't think of right now.

It seems that me and MaxSterling626 are the only two people that have noticed this. How come these guys usually get sh-t thrown in their face at a-m-v.org? I'm aggrivated at noticing this. Me and Sterling are the only people who have sympathy for these bands. Anyone else agree with me?

I've used Twisted Sister before...my very first AMV was Akira set to "The Kids Are Back".

Now, you want obscure, try Mike + The Mechanics. I think only two AMVs have ever (ever!) been made with their music, one of which is mine. The other is a very good Sol Bianca AMV using "Blame".

I've used Twisted Sister also although the video was terrible (Ninja Scroll/Burn in Hell). I like alot of the bands you mentioned RamonesFan since I'm a product of the 80's.

I believe there are an overabundance of The Kids Arent Alright videos
And also due to a lack of real contrast alot of punk bands seem to be left out. Some bands sound really good. I'm hoping to get a video incorporating the Ataris. I suppose the key would be finding a medium band that is kinda pop-ish but still have an auro of punk-ness..... if that's a word...

there is a reason that those bands are not in videos ..

most of the people that are making these vids are 14 year old boys .
ie. linkin park, system of a down, etc. ect.

i bet i get flamed for this.

well 14 year old boys constitute a small portion of AMV creators usually the ones that do the gratuitous DBZ/Linkin Park video or the AWE-inspiring "Token dbGT/ Offspring video" hmmmm... what if there were a jazz video...... one day it shall be.....

I don't know about you guys, but I'm TRYING to do what I can. Right now I have videos on the go including The Tragically Hip, The Rheiostatics, the Marionettes and Silver Chair all of which have little to no representation on a-m-v.org

The way I see it, it's the same as Fanfiction.net or the FFML. People complain that there are too many Ranma Fics or in this case Linkan Ball Z music videos. The answer, make your own video. Use Tank Police and set it to Stolen Car by the Rheiostatics or something. I don't know, I pulled that one out of some random orifice. The point is yes I am new to the game, but I'm trying to help. I would call upon every one who wants to see stuff that hasn't been done before to step forward and take a shot at it. Experiment. What's better, bounce ideas off each other and don't do it half assed. the thing I hate the most is seeing a video which I was thinking about doing myself, but seeing it done so baddly that I wish I could do it over myself just to prove it can be done.

But it's late and I ramble.
