Same here, expect an email from me as well tomorrow (with amv clip of course).
Oh! I forgot to say this in my previous post... the Tekko panel aside from the ridiculous technical EPIC FAIL was rather enjoyable. Had a lot of fun watching the first AMV Salad
Though I couldn't tell if it was the speakers or the video, but the sound levels seemed a bit hot... could have lowered the source sound a notch so as not to overpower the speakers. >_>

That was probably my fault. I cranked the volume because I thought the speakers were going to be weak like in every other instance I encountered that weekend. By the time I realized we had good speakers in our room, the video was rolling and I couldn't see to lower the volume. In terms of the video itself, I did everything I could to iron out the uneven places with the sound. It's not perfect but it's my first MEP so I learned quite a lot.InspZenigata wrote:Though I couldn't tell if it was the speakers or the video, but the sound levels seemed a bit hot... could have lowered the source sound a notch so as not to overpower the speakers. >_>

deuceloosely (9)
...and if you haven't sent me a production tag, please do so ASAP!
For being in shorter supply of producers than last year, it looks like we're doing okay. Just a few technical notes...
Erokodomo
If you want to join us for round three (starting in August) for our themed Salad, I must ask that you please not render to DivX format. The video cleaner I had to use to convert most of your clips left a small watermark in the lower left corner. It was small enough that it didn't get in the way, but I took the liberty of replacing that watermark with one I created. To represent Hourglass Productions, I used what looks like a black widow spider (black circle with red hourglass shape). I hope that's okay..? I also managed to get two clips out of your "True Strength" AMV, which I didn't need to convert so those were watermark-free.
Maru-sha
The clip you sent with the Kenan & Kel audio wouldn't load into my video converter. I'm still trying to figure out why Vegas 7 has trouble determining the video stream attributes for some AVI files, but anyway...my converter gave me some message about the clip being formatted DV1 and failed to convert to DV2. Would you mind going back to that clip and seeing what you may have done differently since all of your other AVI files converted as they should have? If you can find the glitch and fix it, please resend as mpeg2 if possible? Thanks muchly.
Dezbo21
Your "Smoke" blip is the recurring one I mentioned above. I filtered it into black and white for every appearance and messed with some special effects with each one after the third. They're not unrecognizable from the original, though. I think you'll approve.
skyedream75
The third clip (maybe also a fourth?) will come from your Ouran AMV. It's just a matter of converting it to mpeg2 and cutting it up. I wanted you to know it was being put to good use is all. BTW, my wife is an Ouran fangirl and she really enjoyed it.

I just found your submission(s) in my gmail. I haven't viewed yet but I thought I'd let you know I has them.
Finally, there's a song called "Existential Blues" which I only caught wind of about a week ago and won't have time to create anything with on account of having to put this Salad together. If anyone is looking for a creative prompt, I recommend this song and maintain there's no way you won't find something there.
...and I think that's all for now. Only five days left!

Anime Weekend Atlanta, it's for people who can't afford Dragon*Con, or who want to go to 2 cons in the same month in the same town...

Personally, I won't be going since Otakon is also in August and is my major con, not to mention the annual premiere site for this project. I can check into getting this package (both Salad 1 and 2) on their schedule somehow. I'll probably troll the boards for information...LOTM wrote:Anime Weekend Atlanta, it's for people who can't afford Dragon*Con, or who want to go to 2 cons in the same month in the same town...

Alright... I haven't done any big collab projects like this, so I'm going to sound like such a newbie here. What exactly is a production tag?deuceloosely wrote:...and if you haven't sent me a production tag, please do so ASAP!
Is it like that little picture "avatar" that was in the AMV Hells in the bottom right corner? If so, what size should it be?
Also, thanks for the heads up on that song. I'm gonna have to check that out

The thing at the bottom corner is a watermark and, aside from the scenario I ran intoo with Erokodomo, I prefer they not be on the clips. A production tag is the thing at the beginning of a movie which identifies the studio (i.e. the Universal globe, MGM lion, the Tri-Star unicorn, etc). Be creative when you represent yourself with this. I prefer vide and sound no longer than ten seconds. These are going to run during the closing credits.InspZenigata wrote:Alright... Hmm... yeah, just before checking back here I figured it out. May have a problem with that. The footage I'm using for the tag is "widescreen"-ish, and I can't for the life of me crop/resize it correctly from 704x396 to 640x480 or add those black bars on top or bottom (I'm still picking up the lingo, sry).deuceloosely wrote:The thing at the bottom corner is a watermark and, aside from the scenario I ran intoo with Erokodomo, I prefer they not be on the clips. I'm not getting very luck here with source footage, am I?

Don't worry so much about those little things. Just send what you can and I'll fix it in post-production.InspZenigata wrote:Hmm... yeah, just before checking back here I figured it out.
