lmao, a perfect analyze, indeed ;D
Well, I can't really say anything about this community, I'm not a frequent a-m-v.org visitor.
I can only say what I expect from AMVs as a watcher - I expect them to amuse me. In this way or another.
They have to have great sync, nice quality, ususual idea, funny puns or something-else-that-will-make-me-keep-the-vid-on-my-HD :)
That's what I want from vids, because that's what I like. If the vid doesn't have anything I like, I'll tell you what I don't like and how I'd want it to look like instead. If your previous vid was awesome, I'll tell you that it was awesome and this one is not.
Or I won't tell you anything and just delete it from my disk. Simple as that :)
And as an editor - everything I wanted to say have alredy been said by others (JaddziaDax and DriftRoot): I make vids 'cause I want to see the things my brain created. I want to put things together, create them, and then say "OMG, this is full of win, I'm fcuking awesome". The whole editing/preparing footage/etc, etc thing isn't always fun (well, it's rarely fun), but the result you get is. And if somebody else likes it, that's even more awesome; if not - oh well, maybe next time.
