mute audio from clips to use in wmm

does anyone know how to take the audio out of clips so i can put it to my own music

Don't rip the audio from the DVD perhaps?

Is this question really as simple as it seems or am I missing something?

In wmm you put the clips and music in the timeline, then click on the thing that says 'timeline' on the bottom left just above video (sorry, don't have screenshots). Pick 'audio levels' and set it all the way to 'audio from music' (as opposed to audio from video).

right click the clips and choose "mute"
