Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is my favorite, the story animation and music are all better than hellsing. And as far as characters go I like D better than Alucard. D is a bad ass, but he's still a genuinly nice person. He in all his life never once killed A human, (Vash wasn't even able to do that.) Alucard isn't a good guy, just a bad guy killing other bad guys. He woudn't hesitate to kill a civilian if given the oprotunity. He hates vampires that feed on women and children, yet does the very same. And not only that, but he thinks that he's so much better then everyone else that it led to

his death in episode 12

And for all of you who think that Alucard could whip D. Alucard is powerful, but D is Dracula's son. He has the powers of the most powerful vampire, without the typical weaknesses. He can catch arrows, dodge bullets, see through illusions, and swing his sword faster than you can blink, and that is WITHOUT using the powers from his father, the god of all vampires.

But since they arent real they could never fight and we could never know, but D has taken down vamps much stronger than the ones you see alucard fighting, and D is a much better character.

I don't recall any time in which either Vampire Hunter D movies said that D was the son of Dracula.

Arucard is nearly invincible, in fact, I think he is invincible. He died in ep 12, but he revived himself I believe (Haven't watched Hellsing in full for a month, gah) in the beginning of episode 13. By the way, the anime is partially different from the manga.

Spoilers

Well I do recall in vampire hunter D them saying dracula was the king/god/ruler of all vampires flat out. And in bloodlust they flat out said that D was the hybrid son of the vampire king. so feel free to put 2 and 2 together. And Alucard was only able to revive himself because of the fact that so many people he knew were killed there that day. So if not, he would have stayed dead until the scriptwriters made another loop hole.

...your logic is fucked. Arucard revived himself because he wanted to fight Incognito. It wasn't because "he knew so many people were killed that day". Moron, your logic is screwed up, and I don't recall ANYTIME in VHD or VHD:Bloodlust where they say that D is the legitimate son of Dracula. Based on your login, I could say that, for example, Arucard is the song of Dracula.

Alucard reaches up and grabs the moon, Incognito asks how he came back, then alucard says, and I quote
The abundant amount of blood that poured out and soaked this tower revived me
You want to prove me wrong, go and post a screenshot of what he realy said.

Why do people like vampires? Is it because the consumption of blood has some erotic aspect to it? And isn't that unsafe in this day of AIDS, E. coli, and Ebola?

Seriously, though, what is the big deal about vampires? They're just like humans who live at night and drink blood. Whoo.
