^^ I hope you have fun. I wish I could go. It sounds awesome that all the AMVs entered get played anyway, to see them on the big screen is all anyone could ask for. =P

I may go next year, depending on if I have a good flexible job or not. XD

Say, is there going to be a list of the AMVs shown in the overflow or just the AMVs in the actual contest?

I am absolutely going to attend

. Hyatt is already booked (I was an early bird), pre-reg is complete, now it's onto August!! My limit is 2 cons a year and only because they are easily accessible (this one and Katsucon which was seriously a 10 minute walk from my former job).

I may or may not be going next year. It all depends on where my bf is stationed at the time. Right now, he's stationed at Ft. Meade, MD, and we live right outside of Baltimore. So its maybe a 15-20 min drive to get to the convention center. Supposedly, this is his last year here, though he hasn't heard anything about his next duty station. So we may be here for Otakon again next year. Or we may be going to a different one.

I'm a dolt.

The reason it kept crashing was because I was missing the proper codec, which I had uninstalled during an attempt to diagnose a now-replaced failing video card.

D'oh.

Anyways, if VicBond asks for it, I can easily upload a non-watermarked version.

As for guesses, 536.

I'm defenitely going, Otakon is the highlight of the year for me, with the other two area cons (AUSA and Katsu) serving mostly to hold me over. But AX?! Dude, that ain't no sloucher, I've been wanting to go for ages! Isn't that a bigger one than Ota? *envy*

That said, it's good times, taking over the convention center and spilling out into the inner harbor. Look out Baltimore!

Just so that you all have some numbers to guess against, here's some statistics from previous Otakons. The two years marked (.org) can only be considered estimates, as they're what animemusicvideos.org claims was submitted. All of the other years were verified through either this forum, or internet-wayback-machine caches of Otakon forums.

Otakon 2002: 92
Otakon 2003: 195
Otakon 2004: 96 (.org)
Otakon 2005: 109 (.org)
Otakon 2006: between 65 and 70
Otakon 2007: 102
