no.

please stop being a prick and a pain in the ass.

what i mean is that i hate it when the music and the anime have no connection conceptually or physically. nerdstrudel is the cancer killing #amv

If what I'm seeing jumps all over the place in terms of cutting and syncing and the music doesn't, then I turn it off. I'll usually give some leeway for video quality, but I really don't like staring at something that has to be 1/4 the size of my screen to look decent.
That's it for me... maybe I'm not always one to turn off videos immediately, but i do move my attention away to other things open in my screen.

I think I can forgive a video for slowing down or waning in its overall impact, but it should be to emphasize an incoming crescendo. You can't always be on maximum levels in emotion and visuals, but never let it drop down enough to lose viewer focus.

I'm a sync addict. So long as there's decent sync and no subs/not terrible quality, i'll like it.

F**K SYNCH. F**K THE MOTHERF**KING SYNCH! If the idea and content doesn't come first, then you got yourself art in a toilet.

To me a video can be perfectly in synch with every god damn beat, every form of motion, every mood of synch, and still be absolute shit.
I haven't read all of this thread to fully get every perspective in. But I can already tell that a lot of people in the org edit just for the sake of editing beats, rather than content. Hate to sound like a broken pretentious record right now, but "Substance comes before form."

heck. You brought up a nice theory and I think it´s true.

Content over everything? A it should entertain me and that can be a lot of stuff, but yeah I do think that content is often important.

If the flow is bad or I don't feel some kind of emotion/mood setting, then I usually just stop watching it.

I have found myself watching amv's with bad flow as long as they kept me interested emotionally... Usually drama's or romances and on ocassion motivational/adrenaline-rush amv's.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson
