500+ half seconds is a amv...many creators came through this way...hehe :QNerdStrudel wrote:My favorite part of all this is that after all this effort you're putting in to learn this effect, you'll use it for like half a second in a video :O

I like that attitude. More effort -> the better video... or so I think it works. :ogameboy12615 wrote: 500+ half seconds is a amv...many creators came through this way...hehe :Q
You're not really have to find "clean" crack brushes. Put them on a transparent layer and clean them with a lasso tool.
Meeeee trying desperately... -.-
Still not "shiny" enough. It doesn't even look like glass. *sigh*

I know...actually these cracks were putted on transparent layer in PS...but there are many "dirty" point and line distributing mussily...if "clean" them, this brush lose it's true meaning...You're not really have to find "clean" crack brushes. I set all layers as 3D layer in AE...add a point light...and turn intensity to 120%...may be I need turn up each layer's reflection parameter...

some of my friends use maya...I saw they made pretty real world in that program...however,myself really prefer 3dmax...if not make 3d animation film...may be MAX is good enough...at least, when making amv...I found that maya can't import avi for texture, only tga image sequence...and maya itself is more difficult than max...take a long time to learn and a long time to make...on the contray...sometimes you can do the same thing very easy with some plugins in MAX...Dafreshprince wrote:Maya is a powerful program for 3d animation , I don't know if you could do it with that, look into the dynamics sections it has many effects and render it as image and apply as so to your amv. Its wortha try. If not, mask just big shards , be creative =p
sorry...said too many outlying things...orz
BTW...Is anybody know the opening 3D animation of "[AuN-MEP]Project Ayumix2-Release!" was made by what program??maya,MAX or C4D or others??

lol, I love blender. It's one of the only open source program's I've seen that can be competitive with the industry standards.
