Oneira - The Dreamcatcher MEP

Basically the idea of this MEP is making tracks based on dreams (oneira means "dreams" in greek, thanks to CtS for that

) that the editors involved made, so that the tracks will be telling the dreams.
In order to do so, simofc90 and I thought that the best way was to let the people interested into it be able to choose the song to use in their track, so things will be divided like this:

First people interested in the MEP send a PM to sim or me in which they say what the dream is about and make a post here with the song and anime(s) in which they are interested (multi-anime allowed). I think one month is enough for this part, but if we don't get enough people interested, we might delay. After this, the dreams that we will find interesting will be the ones used in the mep.
At this point, SSJ3 Son Jp will make a mix with the songs of the ideas that were considered good, and we'll be ready to go.
Beta deadlines will be every two months from that point: first beta should be long about 1/3 of the track, second 2/3 long and with the third you should be basically done. This means that you'll have around 6 months to complete your track, which should be fair enough, I think.

That said, this is the technical stuff, or whatever you want to call it:
- Resolution: 848x480 (crop and resize if it's 4:3)
- Frame Rate: 23.976 - 24fps
- About anime: Anything org-able
- Betas possibly in Xvid or x264/H264
- Finals in Lagarith or Huffyuv
- Only DVD Quality and remember to de-interlace and filter

One last thing: telling a dream trough an AMV can be rather hard, so join only if you think you can pull it off, since it requires a good storytelling as long as some confidence with effects.

Mirk, I think we should allow multi-anime, though for making the dreams the most possible similar to the real ones

I think I could make something decent, but not quite there in terms of editing. Plus, I'm not really that good at telling dreams and stories, but this sounds interesting. I'm gonna keep a look at this. ^_^

Do we need to make the Video have a dreamy feel? or do we just have our track the same as one of our dreams?

I might be very interesting in this, but I'd like to see more commitment from other editors before I dedicate any time/effort into it. Plus, I'm kind of swamped at the moment. :O

You're kinda free on that... I guess the mood that would fit better is what you should go for. It does depend on the kind of dream, but I think just making the track the same as one of your dream is good.

I had a really weird dream, but all that happened was like talking and stuff with my friends, it was just about weird stuff... If I were to join this or whatever could I voice Reenact(sp?) it?
