a problem with Xvid?

Post by Gamergirl89 » Wed Jul 02, 2008 9:30 pm

Sorry if this is in the wrong place..

In any case, I think I'm having a problem but I'm not really sure.

I've been converting some anime eps that are in .mp4 into .avi
Whenever I import the new .avi into sony vegas, this message comes up:
http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a289/ ... creen1.jpg

Then this bubble appears: http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a289/ ... 5062443717
(sorry the shot looks so shitty)

When I click the bubble this comes up:
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a289/ ... creen3.jpg

Now this is only Xivd stuff I have on my laptop: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a289/ ... creen4.jpg

The big thing I wanna know is if I uninstall all that stuff my computer, will it mess with any of videos I have on my hard drive?

Another thing, if I wanna replace the Xivd stuff I currently have, what do I need to download from here: http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.43.0.html ... ]=Xvid#c23

^Sorry if any of this is confusing. I've never really dealt with Xivd before ^^;
I still new with converting videos.

May as well; it's not like it takes up much space. And hey, it's all useful.

u should try downloading the xvid codec and installing it so you have the plug-in

http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/downlo ... FQod7nCAUA

or you could try another codec

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Cod ... l_In_1.htm

hope this helps :)

even when it is installed, it doesn't work properly that's why you shouldn't edit with those kinds of codecs.
