guy07 wrote:For transitions, I was thinking something along the lines taking a screen shot of a folder in windows withe everyones videos in it, then animating it so it appear that when i click on the vid, the vip zooms into fullscreen then begins. It would be about 4 seconds in between the segments. Think this is a good idea or should i try to meld the videos together the way regular MEPs do?
Here's yer friggen feedback boss.guy07 wrote:Also, only ONE person has said anything about the transition idea I had. I need feedback people!
I think that if you're making a MEP, at least try to keep it as one flowing video. The idea of transitioning with folders is original, but it will destroy the flow of the MEP imo.
That isn't to say that we can't have something a little more creative, considering the nature of this MEP.
tl;dr ask fucking blabber what we should do.

Indeed i am aiming for creative and original. But you make a good point pas ... like hell i'll ask that fish n chips eating bastard for advice. I'd rather have sex with him then as him for advice! ... :3
*does some more thinking*
You guyz gotz 2 months for making ur audio. What i'll do is once i get everyones final audio wavs, i'll mix them together. Then I'll send everyone the final wav and we'll take it from there.
I'll PM everyone in the next few days with the FTP info. Everyone knows how to use FTP right?

Ah okay, clear enough - I was just going by the NTSC standards, that's why I mentioned it. The framerate doesn't really matter to me, as I'm not as much of a synch-freaks as you guys!guy07 wrote:@Douggie: Hm ... that could work, Then i could use my idea for the intro as the outro Will you just be doing the intro, or a intro and a segment?
Hm ... If you could edit in 29 it would really help, if you render it in 23 then i use it in the project it could look like your part is a tad off sync. I'm using vegas so i CAN work with 23 fps footage, but try to use 29 if you can. If you put your footage into Vdub it has a 'De-interlace' Freature (Video>Filters>Add) that will help you out. But do with the footage before you start, not after because it will offset the sync by a tad.
Um ...lets say 50% of the track should be anime, but the rest has to either be animated from another country or be of a band/music video to be sure it fits into the category.
Also, Pas AND Brightlight decided to make us some posters/banners, and chrono might be making one too.
And yeah, I wanna do just the intro, I don't think there will be much time for me to think of another concept...

Hm ... so we still have one spot left, i'm going to give up on warheart as he pretty much gave me the cold shoulder. Anyone know anyone who could fill the last spot?
I could always just use as many people as we have now and make it like a minute shorter, but looking at the empty slot makes me want to fill it ... wait, that didn't sound right ...0-0;
Also, you should all have the ftp info now, lemme know if you didn't get it.

Careful, canadian. You'll scare douggie off.
Pas. Finally, I'm gonna get me some Pas.

PS, the folders thing is just laughably canadian. I propose we use a short clip of guy pouring maple syrup over himself, wearing nothing but his finest mountie hat. We can then use snap-zooms on the 'interesting bits' to initiate transitions into each sequence.
This would work on many levels, as I'm sure you will all appreciate.
In fact, we could use that 'material world' dust brothers track and composit price tags onto various parts of his anatomy.
Does this need to be ratified by committee, or can i start editing now?
