I remember being thrilled to pieces that I could type up all my D&D campaign scenarios on a word processor and save them to floppy disk. Took me about as long as it takes to edit videos, so clearly the compulsion to exploit the latest technology for my own hobbyist purposes was there. It was great, I'd tell my parents I was typing up "homework." LOLJaddziaDax wrote:I wish we had the technology that we do now but when I was 15. If that were the case then I'd have definitely been into AMVing back then O:

I usually believe that age is not a factor as to whether or not you like AMVs or edit to them. It's an art form that appeals to a wide range of ages and people. Even though I know people who ridicule me for it (being in my early 30s ), I still like anime and AMVs.
I, also, got into it a bit later than I should have -- I've been an anime fan since the 80s and had Internet since the 90s in one form or another, but really didn't see much of or think about investigating AMVs until around late 2003.
I like the community and I like the hobby, and I'm still actively editing, so I plan to stick around for a long time to come.

When I was 15 I squeed over being able to use Geocities' Geobuilder (before Yahoo bought it out) to make a web page O.o So I suppose I can understand the feeling :3DriftRoot wrote:I remember being thrilled to pieces that I could type up all my D&D campaign scenarios on a word processor and save them to floppy disk.
