Makes sense, the only reason I thought the 4GB addresses might be the problem was because of others saying they were running Vista x64 without any problems.
I just felt like it needed some kind of follow up because (stupid me not actually reading this thread and going to the search to look) I couldn't find anything explaining how to fix this until I happened to notice that and I was beating my head against the desk trying to figure it out.

As an update to the failed tests at the end of the Vista (x64) installation, there seems to be something directly wrong with mplayer2 rather than what the tests are testing for.
That's the full error. Tbh, I wonder if it might not make more sense to try and check things with a different player, or at least add in that library it seems unable to find. Perhaps it was deemed obsolete? Or it could have siimply been moved to a different location as well...

I've posted up an updated version of Zarx264gui at http://zarxrax.kicks-ass.net/
This is a major update but is almost completely untested at this point, so I recommend you don't actually encode any AMVs with it at the moment. I would like people to test it out though and let me know of any problems with it, or suggestions for improvement. I forgot to update the tooltips on the buttons, so don't mention that :p
