but then I watched the 30 fps one and it was perfect o.O weird
Edit: nevermind it was just my media player
It was probably not just your media player, but the fact that your computer sucks too much to handle the big frame size and 60fps.

Really dug the whole 60 FPS thing, liked how it looked and felt... Felt kinda fast here and there, but overall is pretty nice. The video was decent to. i enjoyed it. It's nothing overly amazing or anything, but I still enjoyed it. Will get the 1280 720 version and keep... May watch, may never touch again... I DON'T KNOW.

Manually frame by frame.
Niotex wrote:03:45;54/03:46;48 - What the fuck is up with the compression of your source there. I mean I realize its an upscale and that even with filtering it can be a hassle.. But this is one of the key shots in this sequence.. The least you could have done is touch it up in Paintshop Pro...
It's due to the compression of the original footage.
I could have cleaned it, but I thought it was ok in this sequence with all the fast moving scenes and action. I agree with most of the things you pointed.

Thanks, congratulation for your place btw.

Yeah... I knew it wouldn't be easy to make people like it.
leahzero wrote:Overall it seems to have that high-speed camera, unprocessed, live action "TV" look, rather than a filmic one. For all the processing required to up the FPS, I think it actually comes across looking more "raw" and unprocessed this way compared to a film-quality video at 23.976 FPS (or even 29.97).
I disagree. IMO, it doesnt work that way for artificial pictures like anime or videogame.
I also think that cinema and tv still use 30 fps because people aren't used to more (and probably for technical issues). I honestly think that 60 fps cinema would be much more comfortable for the eye.

It is its own video. Seriously stop the comparisons lol.

I can understand why some people might find this video ‘meh’...

I think a number of people know, by now, what they’re going to get from your videos. Some have become jaded whilst others still stay fully engaged or grow to like your style even more. My guess would be that you’ve gotten very comfortable with your style. And this is by no means a bad thing, if you’re making the video for yourself. When you’ve completed your project and at the end of it, if you dig it, then by all means do whatever you need make your videos fucking awesome. I don’t think this video revisits or specifically reminds me of you older videos. All the styles and techniques you’ve used in the past have marvelously blended into this video. To me it feels more like a culmination of everything you learned so far.

I’m going to cut to the bone here, you've got a good formula going:

Pretty anime/scene selection.
Good song for its genre.
Solid Editing .
Apt use of effects.

But that’s obviously just the surface.

This video looks fucking hot, because you actually spent a damn long time on finding the right footage, spot on for effort.

When I watched it, I was initially uninspired by the song. I’m also huge fan of Trance, and this specific genre can be a bit on the fluffy side, so I tend to not listen to it much. But, when this song is combined with the visuals, it falls into place flawlessly. You managed to match the scenes up perfectly with the beats, very much appreciated on my side.

The lip-sync... It grew on me after a viewing or two. To me Nono seems like the guardian figure in the video, the lip sync appropriate. It basically was Nono’s inspirational speeches only in music form, which I find friggin awsm.

Colour grading was spot on, loved Nono’s blue overdrive mode.

The 60 fps is fantastic, I didn’t see so much as feel the notable difference. I watched Magic Pad and Trapped and some other high motion AMVs again... They do put a lot of strain on your eyes, Auriga, not so much.

All the above being said, I love it, currently my favourite. Besides, this video got instant approval with the use of hexagons. This is in my top 10.

Thank You, Heavy Machine Gun.
