  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I really liked it, I noticed a very slight lag at the end (but not on any of the lip sync) running the 1280x720p 60fps on a 3.2Ghz Dual Core Pentium IV with 3GBs of DDR Ram.

I imagine I'd not have even noticed that had I been able to go up to 4Gbs, but the damn store ran out of 2GB sticks.

I doubt the ram can fix this. I have no playback issues on an OC'd A64 3000+ with only 1GB RAM.

Instead of rolling your intartweb eyes at me, how about telling me what you think could fix it?

AFAIK, the video SHOULD NOT be having playback issues on dual core processors (although I am not familiar with Dual Core P4s), and 1 GB of RAM should be absolutely enough, so maybe try a different player? I am using Media Player Classic, other options are KMPlayer and VLC Player. That, or the processor was busy doing something else at the time of playback, such as autoupdate(o_O).

I probably just had too much crap going on at the time, then.

When I first got this video, I've actually got noticeable lag particularly the more the video wore on. And I'm running Dual Core E660 with 4GB RAM, so I was quite confused as to why this was happening. I figured I'd play around with FFDShow and as you might do to start with, I turned off all the XviD, DivX and other such decoders which I thought would utilise DX50.

Lo and behold, the standard DivX worked and I have since not had any issues with lags. FFDShow might be awesome for those who just don't want to have to think about what to make their videos play, but it's not the fastest thing in the world.

Anyway, I probably just ranted on and you didn't even use this

I play the 720p60 on a Pentium IV Q6600 (2.4ghz), 4GB ram, with media player classic on windows XP. I also use FFdshow and I do not have problem playing it.

During the play, I noticed that my CPU usage could go to 25%, 30%, which is more than the capacity of one core, so I am wondering if you have adjusted FFdshow to your system.

By default, FFdshow can only use 1 thread (so one core of your cpu), so you should go check your parameters of FFdshow:
In Decoder Options, you should put the value 2 in the case Number Of Decoding Threads

This should resolve your problem.

For the com', already done it on amvdefans, and I am really to lazy to translate this much...
