Looks like things are coming together, I'm so excited to find out who made it to finals. I still think I sent in the wrong video, but I guess I'll know if that's the case in about a week. Alright, I'm ready to rock, can't wait for Otakon!
This is how I see things:
A bad AMV makes it look easy
A good AMV makes it look fun
A great AMV makes it look hard
However, the best AMVs make it look impossible

I prescreened and all I got was this lousy T-shirt

Cool. Thanks for the update, Vic, and to everyone involved! I'm sure it's going to be a great year, and I plan on watching the vids, whether or not mine is in the finals. It's going to be a great convention in general methinks. I'm just happy I get to meet the voice of L. XDVicBond007 wrote: Brad is supposed to be mailing back my drive and the completed prescreening forms today. Theoretically I should get them in hand by Thursday evening, giving me all weekend to check and double check numbers (135 videos, 30 scores per video...gonna be fuuuuuun...). With any luck, the finalists will be made available in another thread on the .org and the Otakon forums, by Monday July 21st.

I had heard the JAM Project concert is supposed to start at 9pm on Friday - I'm not sure if it'll be at the BCC or the 1st Mariner Arena. Still, if worse comes to worse, I'll just catch the Saturday showing of the contest....dwchang wrote:What he said. I want to see JAM Project as well and assuming I get in, the AMV Contest.
Thanks. It's an honor to hear that from you; it means a lot to me.BTW without going into details, I enjoyed your video at the prescreening. Probably the best video from you so far imo. Then again I'm old and given the source...am biased.

I actually think it really will be great this year too. As for L's Seiyuu, you'd best line up early for that one. I see a lot of people getting turned away. I'm just happy the con is coming up in general. But it always ends way too fast .SecondChild wrote:Cool. Thanks for the update, Vic, and to everyone involved! The schedule is changing as often as 3 times a day so nobody really knows what's going on right now. I'll point Omar to this thread and leave it up to him if he wants to post a preliminary AMV events schedule with locations. Everything has been planned for, but things are still moving around and I don't want to spread any misinformation, especially when the schedule is out of my control.Brakus wrote: I had heard the JAM Project concert is supposed to start at 9pm on Friday - I'm not sure if it'll be at the BCC or the 1st Mariner Arena. That's pretty much par for the course for Otakon. ^_^VicBond007 wrote:The schedule is changing as often as 3 times a day so nobody really knows what's going on right now. I can handle personal requests for your average prescreening score. However, given the impartial and honest nature of the prescreening process, quite a few of you probably don't want to know your scores ^^Miracle_Falcon wrote:Hey, here's a question. Last year, we were able to e-mail someone, possibly you (doesn't remember) to find out what our over-all AMV average rating was at the screenings if we didn't get into the contest. Will we be able to do that again this year, d'ya think?
