My first post in here and I guess nobody expects me to read 71 pages...

So my impression is that you all hyped this series too much. There is nothing which could get any expression out of me whatsoever. In comparison with AirTV or Kanon this series loses big times. I usually don't compare Anime with each other since every story and every character is unique, but since everybody has done it so far I thought I might try it, too. The plot was nice, but that's it! There was no turning point, no emotional scene >.< ... nothing really! I could have guessed the ending, when I was watching the first episode!!

Nethertheless I enjoyed the series. The dialogues where nice and episode 22 was also quiet entertaining.

Everthing after that should have never been released... Why would you want to mess up such a nice story with an alternative ending that bears nothing but filth. That episode 24 was a complete waste of time...

Just because Kanon and Air were its predecessor doesn't mean it has to be an overly sappy drama fest.

Though that'll all change once the after story comes out.

Episode 24 wasn't really part of the "story". It was just an OVA to please the audience. Nothing more, nothing less. It shouldn't even be considered as an "alternative" ending. I found episode 23 [the real ending] pretty poor. It was just rushed and no real emotion. So I was please with episode 24, which had more emotion than the show built up.

Mmm yeh...

Nice review, but also keep in mind that Clannad is only half the story, the continuation will be when the After Story releases.

You have to realize who the most popular girls in CLANNAD are: Kyou and Tomoyo. Most people find Nagisa boring by comparison.

For me it's Kotomi and Kyou but oh well....

Anyway,ep24,without being anything real good,had some really cool scenes in the end.Amv material spotted...
