.... so there! :o
I'm a fan of how it apparently misspelled videos. Not a fan of how the V looks like an L

I'd say that if you don't like what you see, make your own (next year) instead of whining about it here

Isn't that kinda counter-intuitive to the "don't draw attention to ourselves"?
I'm talking about using the banners in places like other AMV-related sites and general animé fansites and our own personal pages and the like.

Just a random, weird question...anyone curious as to see what these look like "live?" I find it very hard to make a decision when they're all simply placed against a white background, completely out of their element.

Logos - particularly Web site logos - can look far worse/better than expected when placed in their page environments. Sizes, styles and colors can suddenly become very obvious bad/good choices.

Not sure if it would be too much work in the future to restructure the way we peruse the logos so we can see what they actually would look like on a page - maybe only during the finalist round? I'd feel much more comfortable with that, although I'm not sure how much of an effect - if any - that might have on the end voting.

that'd cause a lot more work for staff, but i think that is an excellent suggestion.

I could do some informal mockups for the final round, sure. Donno if we can automate it for the nominations round though. I think you (DriftRoot) were the only one who used a transparent background on your preview image.
