My gundam seed video 'cosmic war'

Post by akirahz » Wed Jul 23, 2008 12:34 pm

Hi, just wanted to announce a video -- its nothing compared to what some of the awesome creators on here can do but its not too bad, it flows quite nicely - i worked on the video for about 2 weeks (that includes DVD ripping). But opinions/quick comments/ratings are always appreciated, and if you have a gundam video of any sort, people post so i may watch, I'm really into the many gundam series now :)

Its mainly just a action amv that i did my best to try and follow the lyrics and rhythm of the song

wow, you have a knack for internal sync

Ok, I admit I wasn't expecting much, but that was actually really good. Not to much plot, but as far as action vids go that was really solid. As I loved the internal sync and Scene selection was always apropo and fit with the music. good job

One thing though, you mentioned you were entering it into an official contest? (As in not an amv contest) That's really not a good idea, as not only is it obviously breaking the rule that you have to shoot the footage yourself, but it could draw unwarrented attention to the amv community. :|

Oh this is pretty good. Lol I'm a bit skeptical about some of the AMV's because of YouTube >.>, but I was shocked that this was good.

There is some things that bothers me about the video:

The syncing for the drum rolls (sorry, dunno what its technically called) and the blinking were almost perfect. Some were off but I'm not so anal about that. Its the excesive amount of use for it. You didn't have to use it everytime you hear it. Kinda drew my eyes away from the video.

At 3:10, if you had it blink then go to black when things got quiet, then cue in another clip of, ahem exploding people >.>, it would look pretty cool.

The end, when you just heard a steady sound, its probably just me, but I would have a much more ending part to it. It looked as if you just took that scene and threw it in there without even editing it up a bit.

Other than that, everything in my opinion flowed easily throught the entire video. No awkward or abropt clip changes, its good. I think it could pass as an actual MV for the song.

Rating: 8/10 Nice job again.//

A Gundam Seed + The Offspring? O:

I enjoyed this video a lot.

I liked the internal sync you presented in this amv.

The editing wasn't half bad.

Though, when you used the black flashed on a scene, you should make the clips zoom so it doesn't look plain and boring.

I liked it

I think this little gem would've gotten more views, except for the fact fact that the title makes you think it's a noob amv. You may want to work on that. ;)
