Not bad, I still watch this video quite a bit when I have a moment. Can't tell if its because I like the song or the footage you chose. Maybe it's just the length I enjoy. Felt perfect length wise for an action video to be honest. Most tend to drag out, but in the end I think its better to want a video to be longer rather than to wish it was shorter.

As for limited footage thats really not a great excuse, considering you could've always screen recorded said clips from the PC version or ripped them directly from the (PC) game. At a higher resolution as well.

While the black and white works incredibly well in the beginning sequences towards the end it felt like you were simply slapping it on clips at random which made it feel pretty pointless. Overall this videos editing style reminded me a lot of Mugen from samurai champloo. It works, but barely. It tends to feel all over the place and while amusing its not very consistent. Your timing in particular in the beginning sequence feels strange and random on about two of the clips, especially towards the end of that opening segment. It seems like you lost the coordination you had with the first few.

As for the song choice and combination it SOUNDS good but when you listen to the lyrics, obviously this song is not about a gun, as you portrayed. You replaced the idea of sex with the idea of violence in this video, and thats not to say I don't enjoy violence, I just like tits better.

Getting past that this feels very much like a guilty pleasure watch, because while this video goes against just about all of my ideas as to what qualities a good amv should have, it doesn't stop it from being enjoyable to watch.

2.5/5

Also don't be mislead by my score. I am in no way saying this is a bad video. The fact that I wrote as much as I did about this video should at least be an indication that I've watched and rewatched this many many times. If it sucked, my review would be one word. "Sucked".

Hmm i expected a bit more...

This song has so much energy, those dissolves all over the place didn't do it any justice...
Somehow the AR was fucked up too, but maybe my players settings are wrong, I mess around with them quite often...
The songcut was horrible, sry but my ears didn't like that xD
hmm ya you might guess no keeper for me

To sum it up i think it's as good as my DMC4 vid and i thought mine sucked :P

Sucked.

...

Okay, you put the effort into making it, I'll put a little effort into commenting.

- beat sync is frequently off, esp. at the beginning
- overuse of tacky fade cuts
- ending of song where it was shortened sounds awful
- you could have done a bunch of things (e.g. slow down or repeat clips) to stretch the footage out to fit 10 more seconds of the song
- scenes didn't flow very well - action jumps all over the place incoherently
- looks like there's an aspect ratio issue
- the layered clips at the end are a mess, nigh impossible to make out the action
- while titles/credits are optional, because of the way the song ends, it probably would have been a good idea to at least throw on some ending credits so people become aware that the abrupt ending is intentional

Overall I couldn't find much to like, sorry.

3/10

the music is my cup of tea but I think the editing is pretty solid... especially considering your only video sources are short trailors. :)
