One video's done! Now to add the finishing touches (READ: make sure it doesn't look blocky after compression) and to start another. Should be done by Wednesday at the latest.

Yeah, most likely so. That or the possibility that division succeeded and universe ceased to exist, thus obliterating amvhell.com along with it. Also, there will be an entry in .org database (with indirect link to file), new amv announcement in the forums, etc. It will probably remain a hawt topic for quite a while so it will be hard to miss.

Good! Then this one will be much better than Zero. I can't wait to see your entries. I too made several videos for this project that were pretty much above average in offensivity (if average hasn't risen considerably from where it was in Zero). But in addition to the worst of the worst, I made some dark & twisted comedy as well.

Don't worry, they aren't. I made some shit that really made me scared of myself. I hope you poop your pants watching it... but editing it may be more freaking, especially when realizing the pleasure obtained from it.

Hell no. Watching Div0 will be like watching School Days, you expect and want a complete bloodbath... you want a whole f***ing trainwreck. I placed my rocks on the track hoping to derail it. Try to find bigger ones and help the common cause.

Well, that's just me but for the rest... some may be like me, some others... not. Those who are not will probably steer clear of it. And if not... well, maybe AMV Hell will have thousands of "first reaction to Div0" uploads to Craptube like 2girls1cup or goats has. Div0 shall be EPIC in some way or another. It's inevitable.

I should re-edit Mikuru cobbing vid since it's lipsynch sucks. I had some trouble getting accustomed to Vegas after using Premiere and that was my second vid with Vegas. The most irritating feature is that a clip in Premiere starts from first frame and ends in last frame. In Vegas, previewing works the same way... but when exporting, it suddenly starts with "start frame +1" and ends in end frame +1", so exported video doesn't match the preview like it did with Premiere.

Anyway, time to re-synch it as I understand this "feature" a bit better now...

I have now made 18 clips. Some of them are continuation to some other entry so only 15 "storylines". Probably won't make more of them as I only have 4 days to edit but my summer vacation just ended, leaving little spare time. I use rest of my time to fix the work-done-but-not-sent ...and with an exception, fixing that Mikuru-cobbing as well even though I already sent it. It's synch is just so BAAAD I can't tolerate it any longer.

Or maybe I will make one more... just one more. A short one. A real WTF for people who have not seen that specific hentai. Anime Fiction, anyone? I don't know if it qualifies as "anime". It might just be made in America by teenaged boys in start of their puberty (and it certainly looks that bad)... but it sure is anime related.

SSG, do you normalize audio on all entries? I have noticed I've forgot to normalize audio on one of mine I've already submitted.

Just submitted my third and final clip. Hope all three are good enough to make the cut. I wish I could have done more, but I'm tired of fighting with my crappy computer. I especially wish I could have finished my Pico to Chico/All in the Family (Korn) clip, but the 339 MB source is just too much for my poor piece of crap to edit properly.

Nice, that's good to know that I won't have to wait until the end of the year to find out what, if any, of my videos made it in if it takes more than a month to compile the final video.

Though, if SSGWNBTD has been reviewing (and accepting/discarding) videos as he's been receiving them over the summer, I don't see why it would take a long time to compile the final video. But then again, I can't say I've done what he's doing now either.

As I am yours. I've created eight videos, a few of them after I posted that, and I really don't have any ideas left. I've just watched AMV Hell 0 recently and I've compared the majority of the videos in it to mine. Here's how I would rank mine against 0's in terms of "offensiveness", I guess you could say:

below: 0
same: 2
above: 4
way above (WARNING): 2

So, I can't say that all of them will be total shockers, but I think I do have a decent amount of "offensiveness" overall....maybe? (After editing, a few didn't turn out like I had imagined them before I started. But a few turned out better.)

Heh, with some of the stuff that I made, it pretty much confirmed to myself that I'm a closet sadist (and probably a masochist too - I'd take it either way) because I also enjoyed editing some of this stuff. If some of the videos get in that I'm thinking of, I would be extremely curious to know the reactions of the people that watched it.

I know, I'm very anxious for it to be released. Especially now since I've completed all of my videos and that the deadline is just a couple of days away. Not to mention read what other people have been submitting.

Yeah, out of the eight videos I created, I only attempted to lipsync one of them. It works for awhile, but I really wasn't able to lipsync one part, which could be bad and hopefully isn't rejected because of it. A sound effect in the audio is also off by just a little bit too. I use VirtualDub for clipping, to change the speed of the video clips, and Windows Movie Maker as a GUIDE for creating the clips before I join them in VirtualDub. Lipsyncing this way is kind of hard. Would you be interested in seeing this clip, whiic? I'd like to have your input on it. (In a private message, I can give you the Sendspace.com URL I e-mailed when I submitted the video.)

Well, that was never mentioned in the first post, so I didn't normalize the audio in my videos. (I hope that's not a problem.) Besides, wouldn't you have to know what dB level to normalize to?

Also, this may be a little OCD, but I had a bit of a problem with the video duration of one of my videos. I created a video that's 30.16 seconds in length and if I try to cut it down any shorter, the song cuts in too fast or clips out too fast. The first post says

There is a "=", and I'm assuming seconds are rounded to whole numbers? Will that 0.16 sec be a problem?

I'm assuming not, and I've already submitted the video, but I'd still like to know. That way, I can figure out a way to fix it and then resubmit the video.

way above (WARNING): 1

Themes of my vids are way worse than these rating and these rating are low simply because many offensive topics are handled non-graphically or with low amount of detail. There is one big exception to this ... lots of detail. More than you'll want to see.

You won't see any generic hentai pron on my entries. They're all either (my lame attempt at being) funny or they are grosse and definite turn-off (for all sane people). My vids exist to make Div0 unfappable for all exept the sickest of the sick.

There's still so many ideas left unexploited ... like AIDS for example. But 19 entries is already enough and the time limit is too close. I'd rather not start if there's a chance of it remaining undone by deadline.

Nice stats, even better when one considers that they took a hit simply because of low detail. I'm looking forward to the high detail videos.

Yeah, AMV Hell 0 had a lot of general "this song goes with this sex scene" type of entries without really trying to convey any type of intensity or offensiveness. (As well as general non-porn entries that I felt should have been in another AMV Hell.)

Your entries sound like they will VERY nice. I can't wait.

With my entries, I tried to make it more than that by having the song/hentai combination focus on one aspect of the creation (and make its effect more intense.) Like I said, some didn't quite turn out the way that I imagined them to be before I started editing them, so I just hope that if they are put in the final compilation, people will get it.

Hopefully a good number of people went about creating content like you and I did for this. If so, Div0 will be beyond epic.

Though, I'm a bit worried about my two highest-offending videos. One of them is 0.16 of a second over 30 (which I am hoping like hell is within the rules) and the other one has a slightly misplaced sound effect and the lipsync is off in one part. (I sent you a link to this video in a PM; I'd like your opinion, whiic, since you talked about lipsyncing before.) I'll be very disappointed if these videos are rejected.
