I dunno if you saw it, but when you asked who else had voted for it, about 7 people raised their hands. Either they're liars or Vic's count was wrong :o

That was probably me.
NightMistress85 wrote:Yeah :P. It was fun. We were in the "artsy" pictochat room.
Yeah I moved to that one since the other one was just full of some dude hitting on some girl the whole time -_-;;.

Like Jeff said, there were some really well-done drawings in there. I know I said it at the event, but still...wow.

Yeah two of my friends were among the artists and we started the "shoes" portion :P And actually, some users figured out who we were, quoting some lines from one of our cosplays :P They never approached us though. We ended up in the first pictochat at one point, but it was boring and just had people talking.

I kept trying to get into that one, but it was always full. :( So I mostly kept drawing Hello Kitty pics in the middle of the guy hitting on girl/let's draw crudely drawn penises stuff in the 1st one. :P

Or, if lawyers get in the way of it, here is where a rumor should be started, accurate or inaccurate, about the category of AMVs that may or may not have been submitted and/or aired at any time during the convention, pertaining specifically to which ones may have been considered better than others by people at the convention who just happened to have ballots.
Not that I want to start "rumors" or anything, but the answer that I heard at the Feedback panel on Sunday regarding the withdrawal of the Trailer/Parody category from the contest (and the whole convention) was something to do with logo copyright. My friend asked a question about the category and brought up the fair use of parody stuff in copyright licensing. The best that I could tell was that it had nothing to do with the anime or audio sources, but instead the use/parody of logos like Warner Bros and Disney. Since a great number of trailer/parody vids that I have seen in the past have spoofed the logos and other non-parody-protected copyrighted things, I guess they were trying to safeguard against that.

So I dunno what that means for the future--whether they'll have the category back as long as people don't parody the logos, or if that was only a small piece of the puzzle and they'll have to shut the category down altogether.

If you ask me, though, it's a real shame, even if I understand that they don't want to get sued. I'm gonna download the vids and enjoy them anyway. Anyone interested in an unofficial vote here to supplement the votes from Friday night's showing?

see you all there! i'll be the one in the giant gameboy outfit xD
Well as the results indicated, there was nothing to fear from me ;).

Anyway, I enjoyed your entry (it was short and sweet) and am 99% sure I saw you at the AMV panel since there was someone with a giant, green gameboy outfit. I was a bit surprised since I expected someone Chinese (given your name), but I could be wrong :P.

I took off my outfit for the panels since it gets really hot in that thing...

Next time I see you, don't mistake me for anyone else :wink:

EDIT: Oh yea! One more thing! [Jackie Chan Adventures reference]
I think you might have mistaken me b/c I'm like, super young >__>;;
Personally, I thought you, Atom, and that...Steve person...were like, in high school...To my surprise you guys aren't...

If you remember a short asian kid, about 5'2", 15 years old, who sat next to the gameboy costume, that's me >___>;;
