I have to sabotage amvience entires some how and considering what you’re making this was about all I could do to stop you kicking my ass down there mwahahaha. Yeah I kept getting told my effects were ugly T_T. The wallpaper thing I guess you mean the last chorus build up? Heh that was a bunch of track matte moving vectors(and fake vectors :\) with shine glowing strands and camera movement and 10 hours down the drain on the 2 seconds but it was the easiest of all the ae segments. Anyway thanks for continually pushing me to finish it.

Edit: Hmmm... well I still like it but for some reason the sync doesn't feel as spot on as in the beta... I can tell you inserted a lot of additional shots and overlays into the final version, may be just a little bit too much and it's interrupting the flow (most noticeably around the one minute area)

I still like it enough to give it 5/5 though :p Just personally find the beta version to sync better.

yeah I ended up changing the direction I was taking with the video quite a bit from the last beta, specifically in the fight sequences. Hmm I decided to add in a fight with athrun there and I unfortunately resorted to over lays to shorten the footage on the storyline… I was considering making each one a moving track matte as I did later but decided against it only to tray for more of a build up for the second chorus… looks like I prolly should have done it x_x oh well these things happen next time I’ll listen to my inner voice a little more … oh and I literally facpalmed my key board (much to my bosses alarm) when I was typing the description at work and I realised the name similarities. I should take my alzhiemer’s medication more often so the old age memory loss doesn’t hit.

I really loved this video! Actually, I don't think you need to have knowledge of Gundam Seed to really enjoy the video. Will leave an op when I get the chance. Excellent work!

ahh well that’s good to hear, my first few beta comments were from people who’d seen the series and had noidea what I was doing in the video… it’s been through a lot of revision since then, but I was trying to capture the essence and feeling of the series which makes much more sense if you’ve seen it, I wasn’t holding out hope that anyone who hadn’t would understand so yay to me for getting at least one :]

would you believe that there is literally only 1 scene with masking? that’s in the lead up to the second chorus with shinn, everything else was done “differently”… I also whored a bit of the intro’s and outro’s which look like there’s more overlays than there is (there are a crap load of track mattes and such which look like masking and some keying)

Let´s say it was not my cup of tea ok, but the video almost didn´t worked with the song at all in my eyes. Seriously. Way to fast editing that gave me a taste of "whatever" on my tounge. It really didn´t matched for me
I missed energy in scenes and moments, god damn emotions and stuff. There wasn´t any emptions for this really awesome Moby song.
I love this song, but this amv stands way too much under my expectations of a well edited vid to this song. Yeah I can see why others may like, but for me: just no I don´t like it .-.

awww I think the kira background stuff feels a bit rushed to me kinda hard to get what’s happening and this may be a symptom of me cramming to much into the video for you, although I was suffering from a lack of dynamic scenes for internal sync that didn’t include mecha fighting, I tried to put as much story and emotion as possible but oh well.

you know I was suprised about his lack of useful scenes in Destiny I found it hard to find more footage where he wasn’t being a crybaby to put in the second half… it’s very athrun focused x_x anyway glad you liked it.

ok I’m pretty sure from that comment that you haven’t seen the series at all amirite? As I said in response to bauzi there’s only 1 actual mask in the video(and a fuck load of keying/mattes). If you mean the pngs that are moving track mattes throughout? There was a lot of me doing that in an effort to match the making/feel of the actual series which uses those “effects” a lot. Although I think that the rolling shine bar is a bit fugly.

Seriously though, good job! I had no idea what was going on, but I found visually appealing (<-is easily amused). I thought the beat was slightly off in a few spots, but that just might be the Windows thing (I am on Vista after all).

I’m adding that poetry to the video description now mwahahaha… ahem well since I watch it heaps I cant see the beats I missed (I’m just too close to it to see problems that others can) so it could be either since it’s a high encode… but it wouldn’t surprise me that in an upbeat sorta song that I missed a few. X_x although actually now that I think about it there are a few at the end of stanza’s where I faded out for more mood and ignored the winding down beats.
